This morning they took Kari off the ventilator to see if she could breathe on her own. They tried this a couple of days ago, and she couldn't. But this morning she could! The ventilator is still hooked up giving her support, but she's mainly on her own. What thanks we must give for this day.
Be bold in asking God for healing. Last night at the St. Charles church I asked God to give us just one more inch of renewed spinal cord, and said after that I would come back to ask for another inch, and another, and another.... The Word invites us to be bold. He knows our hearts: that we ask like children who don't know much, can't do much, and trust in His wisdom, not ours. God's love calls us to ask and ask again. Thank you all for your prayers.

That's awesome! I'm so excited!Prayer works! We'll keep praying!
Thank you for the regular updates on Kari. We are praying and the frequent updates aid in praying specifically for her immediate needs. Not only Kari, but Aaron and all of the family members are in our prayers.

I am overjoyed for this piece of good news! Kari is strong, and I'm sure this will only be the first in a long line of good news reports!
What an incredible day for Kari! She's a fighter! (Don't think this is going to stop her!) We think of Kari and Aaron at Sky Lodge and their unending energy and praise for the Lord. And those smiles!!! Thanks for being so "bold" and asking you heart's desire. I think we all need to remember that. "Inch by inch", Kari will carry on and be renewed both physically and spiritually. You are all in our thoughts and prayers throughout each and every day. The Tauscher Family- East Peoria Free Methodist
Thank you, God for this wonderful news, and for Kari having that feisty spirit!! Keep fighting Kari, and we will keep praying.

As you pray for inches of healing, we pray for God to reveal a measure of His love so great that it requires the use of a ventilator for the rest of us. If we could just pay attention to Him here, He may show glimpses of Him we've never imagined, and regardless of Kari's physical condition, she (and all of us) will know He is real and amazing and that this is not in vain. God bless Aaron as he truly fulfills the vow he made to God and Kari "in siickness and in health".
