Hello All-
Just a quick note- I will try to get out an update this weekend.  School has started- for me too!- and we are much busier.  But busy feels normal- and normal feels good. (  Our trip to Illinois was fantastic- more coming on that later.  Our trip to Colorado was great too.  So keep checking dear readers…

It was so good to see you guys, Kari, you look soooooooooo good. I was very happy to see your smiling faces.

Its been a long road. Almost a year since I came to visit you. That was a very hard time. Its so amazing to see how far you have come. Kari, you always told me that, remember? You told me to look back and see how far I have come.

I wrote this poem recently, its about a journey, please enjoy.

From this space
on the mountainside
I can see the miles ahead
And miles beneath
Mountain peaks
The depth of sharp ravines
The wonder is, how far
I have climbed

Though my fear has kept me
Frozen at times
My faith has guided steps
In blindness
Touching stones
I move upward

Please do not stand
In my path
The sunlight may not
Reach me
Dusted beams
search for cold skin

As the new day
breaks forth
And the ropes and
Balances are released
My Spirit soars

Take care, care
See the snow caps
And the rocky peaks
The old man’s broken home
In watercolor style

A mountain range
Appears beneath the
Winged creatures
Who have no fear
They find new stars
In empty, black nests
Always gazing

Hi, Kari and Aaron!
It was great to see you when you were here! Of course I wish we had more time to visit, but that's how those crazy visits can go... I can't wait to hear your thoughts about your trip - thanks for always keeping us updated. Good luck with school (both of you) and I look foward to the next time you're in town (or I'm in California)...
