Sarah

Hey All-

For those of you who know my dear friend Sarah, I wanted to update you on her condition.
Quick recap: Sarah was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer about 2 months ago. She has been receiving chemotherapy as part of her treatment plan. She also was participating in a couple of clinical trials since pancreatic cancer is so difficult to treat. One of the clinical trials was really bad and tore her stomach lining. So she's not doing that one anymore!
A week or two ago she found out that the cancer spread to her liver. Ugh...
They are now trying radiation. She will be receiving radiation this week and all next week. After that there is a 6-week waiting period to see if it's worked. Please pray that it does. There aren't many, if any, options left.
Sarah needs a miracle. She is still the same silly, goofy, sarcastic Sarah. Her spirits are really upbeat and she really believes she is going to be fine. She is still working and spending lots of time with friends and family. I think she's doing better than the rest of us!!

Please pray that God will heal her!!

In other news...Aaron and I are fine. Nothing new to report! God is good and we are striving daily to live our lives to the fullest.

Blessings to you all-
Kari

Hi, Kari and Aaron---Checking in daily for news of Sarah and the 2 of you! Continuing to pray for Sarah. What's going on with your caregiver situation?
I'm working 5 or 6 days a week to make up for leaving my night shift pay and NICU pay behind. Not as much free time, but my health is better and I enjoy my patients and co-workers.
I miss seeing you! Maybe we can take a trip to see Amy if I take a Thursday off. Love, Diane
