Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone!

Aaron and I are enjoying our first Christmas in California. Even though we've lived here for almost six years, we've never spent a Christmas here. It does seem strange to be sitting here on Christmas Eve with our sliding door wide open to our little garden--it's 75 degrees outside. Amazing.

I preached yesterday at our church. I talked about different names of Jesus- specifically Emmanuel, which means "God with us." This theme has been in my heart this year, remembering specific times in my life when God has been with me. I was particularly reflecting on last Christmas with Aaron's family just days after Bryan was killed. Bryan's middle name is Emmanuel. Even in the horror and darkness of death, God was and is with us. Always.
Just some thoughts.

We're getting ready for our Christmas Eve service of Nine Lessons and Carols. Then tomorrow we are taking dinner to our friends Abram and Sarah. They are expecting TWINS any day now and are nervous about going anywhere in case something happens! Then we are going to the Logan's house for a bit. It will be a great day!

On the 26th Alice, Rick, Desiree and Daniel are coming. We are so excited to see them!
Our house is all decorated and we have tons of goodies from Aaron's students. So we are ready for our Christmas week.

Have a fantastic Christmas everyone! Thanks for your continuing support. We love you all...

Merry Christms! We will rattle our brains for ideas of fundraisers. There are so many Poly band kids/parents we can get to help. I'll keep in touch.
